ABOUT ME
Debbie Malone has been a disability advocate and dance ministry leader for over fifteen years. As a visually impaired motivational speaker, trainer, and author, Debbie promotes full inclusion of people with disabilities in the community. Debbie and her teammate, a gorgeous guide dog, enjoy teaching others about disability awareness, advocacy, and acceptance.

Debbie has trained church congregations, police cadets, voting volunteers, and municipal employees in the areas of disability etiquette and awareness. She has served on several local boards and commissions. She received the Corey Nelson Award for Disability Advocacy. Debbie continues to promote equality, accessibility, and inclusion of people with disabilities locally and nationally.

Additionally, Debbie is a dance ministry leader and teacher. Yes, it’s a God thing. Only He would put together a legally blind person with such a visual ministry. Debbie enjoys leading worship arts and dance ministries to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to new places while including participants at all levels and abilities.
After earning a degree in Social Rehabilitation from Assumption College, Debbie worked in the field of disability for most of her adult life. She later earned her master’s in computer information systems which has afforded her the opportunity to teach computer skills to adults with and without disabilities.

Originally from Massachusetts, Debbie enjoyed living in the sunny state of Florida for nearly 9 years, but has recently moved back to Massachusetts. She and her dog continue to bring awareness of the possibilities available when people with disabilities are fully integrated into all of society.
